Today we headed in to Cambridge to experience Art Interactive doesn’t this sound like a lovely Saturday Adventure:
Art Interactive is a non-profit experimental art space in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Situated in the heart of Central Square, Art Interactive’s 2,500 square foot, one-of-a-kind space provides artists a supportive venue for showing cutting-edge work. Art Interactive offers the community in the Greater Boston Area unparalleled opportunities for experiencing innovative art forms.
Visitors play, create, and participate at Art Interactive.
Art Interactive’s mission is unique. As the Boston Globe commented in a 2002 review: “Viewers here become part of the art…There is nothing exactly like Art Interactive elsewhere in the United States.”
After walking the block three times, we found the phone number and called . . . the phone was disconnected – no interactive for the Sharpteam or anyone else . . .
And then there was Boston Traffic
So though we had a back up plan of heading to the MIT Museum, it was not going to happen, as we had less than an hour to find parking, get there and get out . . . and we sat in traffic for about half an hour.
After a bit of consulting with one another and batting around some other ideas in whispers, as the time ticked toward dinner we decided we would go for a dinner experience at the Rainforest Cafe . . . Susan has not been there, and it is an experience . . .
The sign seemed to be a sign that this was the place for us . . . .
But . . . the blurry picture is more indicative of our night . . . there was an hour and a half wait . . .
So we headed to Pizzeria Uno, there was no wait . . .
And they have these cool new gadgets on the tables along with good pizza and crayons . . . Susan said it was her new favorite restaurant.
Then we walked around the Burlington Mall. Being 13, Susan enjoys the mall very much.
A highlight for all of us was being invited into a new store . . . 77Kids
One of the highlights was the “photobooth” (pics of Susan are so cool, but we cannot post), here is Colton
We were super tempted to get this cute hat for Cole
Susan was particularly interested in the free prizes . . .
Even though most things were a fail today . . . Sharpteam found a way to make it an Adventure.
