Our project this week was to organize our garage. With the addition of our shed, the garage has become less cluttered but was still in need of some loving help. Here are some before photos. You’ll notice the large cardboard tubes from carpet purchased over the past couple months.

We removed everything from the space, gave the walls a clean coat of white paint and then used the Behr concrete treatment to give the floor new life. I used a 1/2″ nap roller for the walls which caused a bit of splatter as you can see in the below photo.

I did some minor patch work where we had some cracks in the floor. We then used the Behr system to clean and prep the floor. First was the concrete cleaner and etcher. It did a great job of removing old oil stains and prepared the way for the bonding primer.

The final step was the simple grey Behr paint. All in all it took about 4 nights of work and the end result is a garage that feels new and fresh. We added 2 shelves from Home Depot to store seasonal items for each car.
